This site is new, last updated November 2004, but I wrote the stories between 1997-2001. I loved writing, still do. And I loved getting feedback about what I was doing.

I started writing because I believe most porn misses the point, because I feel passionately that most of the best sex — those moments horny beyond even our own belief — occur between average-looking middle aged people in their own homes.

I stopped writing partly because RL took over and partly because I became increasingly discouraged by the constant theft of my work.

I know I'm not alone. Many Usenet writers drift away or loudly slam the door as they walk out of ASSD because of copyright theft. And it's often the most popular writers who are driven off.

We get worn out by having our work appearing on a hundred spam sites, stripped of ID, without payment, without acknowledgement.

I have stories I want to write, have had for the quiet years, but just couldn't face constantly discovering my work all over the Net. I guess it's some sort of fame, but as Dr Johnson is reported to have said: "No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." There's a lot of money in Internet sex, but none of it ever goes to the authors.

Recently there's been far too much drama in my RL, so I may come back to writing as a haven. Can't tell either way just now.
